A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
No. The evaluation distribution is the full version. There are no feature locks, license registration screens, or activation checks. If you continue using Catalyst beyond evaluation, please purchase the appropriate license.
The current release does not require you to enter or activate your key. Your license key is your record of purchase. Keep it with your receipt: in the future, it will be used to download or unlock additional capabilities.
Your license is not a tracking mechanism. The framework performs no network authentication or background license verification.
No. A personal license is only for an individual’s non-commercial use on their own machines. Commercial use, or use within a company or enterprise, requires a commercial license—even when Catalyst is used only internally and no software is distributed. A personal license does not permit distributing programs that link to Catalyst’s libraries, even if you give the program away. Contact us for commercial licensing before distributing such applications or the shared libraries.
The current distribution is for macOS on Apple Silicon. Linux support is coming soon. See the SDK guide for the current Mac requirements.
The SDK includes C++23 headers, libraries and frameworks, Cosmic and Microcosm, Nexus, Python and Swift bindings, documentation, and examples.
